I used to believe I had full control over my life, envisioning an ideal journey in New York. When life did not unfold the way as planned, I questioned the essence of life itself. That’s when I began relentlessly traveling with my camera and exploring many breathtaking places.

After years of soul-searching, I realized that I can make good use of the gifts as a blessing to others. Upon returning to Hong Kong, “Life is not a Snapshot” became my way of serving people, until I had to redirect more time to my family. Now, it feels surreal to resume this mission after I started an unexpected chapter of life in North Shore Sydney, not to mention that I have become a father to a little girl.

Fatherhood has gently transformed me , deepening my sensitivity to the emotions of people around me.  I am drawn to capturing authentic moments and natural interactions. With minimal posing instructions given, I allow genuine emotions take the spotlight. It brings me great pleasure to be a part of creating photos that not only tell stories but also evoke long-lasting feelings and memories. Personally I find great joy in taking pictures with my Leica M, a camera that offers superb film aesthetic and its nimble size enables me to establish connection with the people I photograph. ​

 

Life is no longer a fleeting moment captured in a snapshot. It appears that we all must spend a considerable amount of time to see through the whole picture of life. While I can offer a few beautiful shots, I hope you may search deeper. You may discern the invisible and true protagonist that stands behind all smiles, snapshots, and lives.
